This project focused on exploring the concept of a target audience through the creation of a unique, non-cliché card. The objective was to evoke a universal emotion while remaining deeply personal, moving beyond the traditional style of greeting cards. The challenge was to connect a specific life event to a broader audience in an authentic, meaningful way.
The process began with self-reflection, identifying three pivotal life events that shaped my identity. After careful consideration, I selected one story to share, the relationship between me and my best friend.
Love can manifest in various ways, and in the case of my best friend and me, our affection is sometimes expressed through playful banter and teasing. While this may appear peculiar to some, it is, in fact, a reflection of the deep trust we share, understanding that the humorous remarks are made in jest. Our friendship is truly a once-in-a-lifetime connection that deserves to be cherished and celebrated at every opportunity.
The final card was designed to reflect the kind of humor-filled, lighthearted message you might share with your best friend. It captured the playful, inside jokes and quirky references that define a close friendship. My goal was to create a card that felt authentic and personal, mirroring the kind of laughter and connection I share with my own best friend.
The design incorporated bright colors and bold typography to emphasize the fun, carefree tone, while the message itself leaned into humor that only close friends would truly appreciate. By replicating this dynamic, the card aimed to evoke a sense of familiarity and joy, making it more than just a greeting—it became a token of friendship and shared experiences.
